2019 sure has been a great year. I’m sure we all at some point learned, loved, grew, got better, experienced ups and down, got worked up, cried, laughed, enjoyed, kept malice, forgave, expected, received, helped, made new friends, met families, broke up with friends, ended relationships, got married, got separated, and lots more. But the question now is, did we show appreciation? Did we genuinely appreciate God, ourselves, our environment and everyone around us?
To some, this question doesn’t matter, to some, they’re wondering why the question is being asked, to some others, they don’t see the need to specially show appreciation, while to some, appreciation is just a natural phenomenon.
There’s is more to appreciation than the everyday “thank you”.
Your appreciation should be:
- For everyone
- Without prejudice
By showing appreciation, we can:
- Build self-esteem
- Help others be better
- Create happiness
- End conflict
- Boost morale
- Build trust
- Show respect
However, the above items can only be true when appreciation is GENUINE and SINCERE from your heart.
It’s the end of the year 2019 and I want us all to be genuinely appreciative of the little things that made 2019 worth while. Show appreciation and don’t expect anything in return. Be the reason why someone is motivated to do more and be a better version of themselves.
Whatever hard time you had to face in 2019 was a lesson you just needed to do better. Don’t give up on what you believe. If having a new year resolution is what you believe in, DO IT – put in work towards achieving your resolutions. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If not having a new year resolution is what works for you, don’t feel like it’s a bad thing, do what works for you. The most important thing is putting in more effort, striving, aiming, getting up when you fall, trying over again, believing, being hopeful and above all, never give up. It’s all going to fall in place as long as we keep doing our part and finding pleasure in becoming better every time.
This is me saying a huge THANK YOU to all my readers both old and new. I genuinely appreciate you all and I hope to write better and be the reason why people wear a big smile.
Cheers 🥂 to an awesome 2019 and to an even more awesome and fulfilling 2020. I love you always, yes YOU ❤️.
